Sojourn Spotlight: Redemption Spokane

We love introducing new members into the Sojourn Network family! This week it is Redemption Spokane in Spokane, Washington. Read their story. Celebrate their wins. And please pray for them in 2016.

Redemption's Story

Redemption Spokane launched January 4, 2015 with a core group of 30 adults and a launch attendance of 96 (adults/kids). The work of redemption is at the heart of the story of God, whereby in Jesus Christ, our redemption has been paid and secured. We are located in the heart of Downtown Spokane, and where we believe and trust that the message of the ongoing redemptive work of Jesus will go forth from our church to impact, our families, our neighborhoods, our city, and the Inland Northwest. It is the continuing work of redemption in our lives that enables us to make disciples of Jesus, raise them up in Jesus, and send them forth for the glory of Jesus. Therefore, Redemption Spokane exists to make disciples who make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Redemption's Wins in 2015

  1. They launched independently after the Mars Hill Church closure.
  2. Celebrated their 1st Easter with 189 in attendance.
  3. Ended the year with 7 Community Groups throughout the region.

How to Pray for Redemption Spokane

  1. They are eager to raise up and establish an elder ministry.
  2. They need to establish healthy Community Group rhythms and training for their CG leaders.
  3. With the resignation of our executive pastor, they need to raise up leaders to carry the operational load.

We encourage you to pray for Redemption Spokane and the work of God in their neighborhoods, city, region, and the world.
