Since 2011, the mission of Sojourn Network has been to do all we can to help pastors plant, grow, and multiply healthy churches. This year’s annual retreat for lead pastors, board members, strategists, network staff, and their wives — as in years past — provides an opportunity for rest, renewal, feasting, ceasing from our work, fellowship, and space to be present with your spouse.

Theme: The Ministry Marriage

The theme of this year’s retreat is The Ministry Marriage and will feature Paul Tripp. We are honored to have Paul & Luella at this year’s retreat. Paul is very familiar with Sojourn Network and the privileges and pains of ministry. He and his wife will be here as family members who understand the unique challenge of millennial church planters and Gen X church leaders. The Ministry Marriage topic will include discussions and Q&A’s on the unique blessings, demands, and temptations that marriages encounter whether you are a planter, elder, pastor or church leader.

Afternoons will provide time to rest and relax on the beach and around the pool. Evenings will provide space for feasting and fellowship.

Where are we headed?

We are coming back to beautiful Naples, Florida but this year we will be located at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club.  

Nestled on 125 tropical acres along the Gulf of Mexico, The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is Southwest Florida’s only beachfront hotel with onsite golf, tennis and spa. Our Florida beach hotel features 319, non-smoking guest rooms and suites – each with a patio or balcony – and beautiful resort or Gulf of Mexico views. You will also enjoy complimentary self- and valet parking; no resort fees; and complimentary admission to our fitness center.

Combine all that with award-winning dining, our new beachfront Pool Complex, four retail shops, and you’ll find something for everyone to enjoy without ever leaving the grounds of our hotel.

If you want to venture off, you are within 2 miles of downtown Naples and its world renowned Third Ave and Fifth Avenue where you will find a variety of specialty shops and restaurants and the Naples Pier.  The Naples Botanical Gardens is 5.4 miles away and The Village at Venetian Bay shopping is only 3.2 miles down the road.  

How do I register?

Please register by March 26th.

Important Notice: Please book your flight early and provide the exact dates and times you are arriving at the hotel on the registration form. The dates will be given to the Event Planner at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. Check-in time for all guests is 4pm.



    Here are some quick notes to keep in mind as you register:

    • Board Members: Please plan to arrive a day earlier (Sunday, April 29th) by 4pm.
    • Sojourn is covering hotel costs for April 30 - May 3 (three nights, check-in Monday and check-out Thursday) extra nights are available at your expense at our discounted rate of $169 (based on availability)
    • Sojourn is also providing dinner on Monday night and dinner on Wednesday night. A light breakfast will be served during the morning teaching sessions.
    • The Naples Beach Hotel is offering our group a 10% discount on Spa Services.
    • The Naples Beach Hotel is offering us a 20% discount on lunch items and non-alcoholic beverages with lunch at all their dining outlets.
    • Overnight valet parking and self parking is free - tips are welcome.
    • A suggested gratuity for housekeeping is $3.00 per night.
    • Please come prepared to tip Bellman, Beach Attendants, etc.
    • If you are bringing kids under the age of 1, we will be happy to provide childcare.     Who are the speakers?


    Paul Tripp

    Paul Tripp is a pastor and an award-winning and best-selling author. With more than 30 books and video series on Christian living, Paul’s driving passion is to connect the transforming power of Jesus Christ to everyday life.     Dave Harvey

    Dave Harvey serves as the Executive Director of Sojourn Network, a Teaching Pastor at Summit Church, and the founder of Am I Called. Despite having authored a number of helpful books, articles, and blogs over the years, Dave feels he is not particularly imaginative, and is not nearly the catalytic change-agent he would like to be. He has a remarkable wife (Kimm) of 34 years and four adult children. He’s lost about 200 lbs. over the last 20 years, primarily by gaining and losing the same 10 pounds. He likes praise too much and wishes he used his time better because he wants to read more than he does. Ministry over the last 30+ years has delivered incredible and undeserved joys for him, not to mention unimaginable sorrow. Whatever bitter taste there may be, though, has made Christ indescribably sweet to him.

    What about childcare?


    We are providing childcare for babies under one year old. We understand the importance of having your infant with you and yet we want you to have time to be able to rest and enjoy the program that we have planned for you and your spouse.  

    This year we will be working with the Family Ministry at Summit Church. They will have a staff person who will oversee childcare during the retreat. We will be using a small Ballroom at The Naples Beach Hotel as the location for childcare. This room is located very close to the conference room to make check-ins easy for parents and allows your babies to be close by when you need to nurse.

    notes for those using childcare:

    • Please label all of your child’s items. (diaper bag, bottles, sippy cups, food pouches, etc.)
    • Please write out or type out a schedule of your baby’s activities to give to the Childcare workers.
    • Please provide any food, formula, breast milk they may need during the babysitting times. (We will have a bottle warmer available.)

    Childcare is provided during these times:

    • Monday, 6:30 - 9:30pm
    • Tuesday, 8:30am - 12pm and 7:30pm - 10pm
    • Wednesday, 8:30am - 12pm and 6:30 - 9:30pm
    • Thursday, 8:30am - 11:30am

    Note: you are not required to use childcare for these entire time slots. These are simply the hours babysitting will be available.


    How do we get there?

    Parking Information

    Valet and Self Parking are free for guests.  Tipping is encouraged for Valet attendants.

    Airport and Arrival Information

    You will want to fly into Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW).  It is 31 miles from the airport to the hotel, approximately 40 minutes.

    Every guest will be responsible to organize their transportation from the airport to the hotel. In  past years, guests have decided to rent a car or carpool. You can also choose to Uber or use the MBA taxi service at the airport.

    The rate from RSW to Naples Beach Hotel is $70 for 1-3 passengers and $10 for each additional person.

    Want to stay longer?

    You are more than welcome to stay additional nights at The Naples Beach Hotel - up to two nights before or two nights after the actual retreat dates (April 30 - May 3). You can stay these extra nights at the discounted rate of $169/night. The nights that are available at the discounted rate are Saturday April 28th, Sunday April 30th, Thursday May 4, and Friday May 5th. 

    In order for us to notify the hotel of your early arrival or late departure (i.e. if you’re coming early or staying later), simply provide your check-in and check-out dates on the Registration form, and we will notify the hotel on your behalf.

    Please note: you are responsible to pay for these extra nights, but the discounted rate still applies. Sojourn Network will cover your hotel Monday - Wednesday nights (3 total nights).
