Resignation Announcement

LOUISVILLE, KY — Sojourn Network, a church planting network of over 70 churches across the country, announced today that President and Executive Director Dave Harvey resigned on Tuesday, January 22. Since assuming these roles in 2015, Dave provided stable and faithful pastoral leadership. His steady hand has kept our organization strong, growing, and many of you have had the benefit of experiencing his presence and guidance personally.

“The Board is thankful for Dave’s years of service and leadership,” said Brad House, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “We are immensely grateful for Dave, and the Board intends to work hard to care well for the Harvey family as they step out into what God has next for them. We wish him and his family the very best.”

In a letter to Sojourn Network pastors, Harvey said, “God has expressed His exceeding goodness to me through the honor of serving as president and executive director of Sojourn Network. My resignation, though necessary, in no way diminishes the love that Kimm and I hold for the board, the staff, the pastors, the wives and the network mission to plant healthy churches that last. We treasure the relationships we have built and pray they remain strong until God calls us home. Thank you Sojourn Network!”

Since Dave served as both the President and Executive Director, the Board has decided to install interim leaders to serve in these roles. During this period of transition, Mike Cosper will serve as the interim president of the Network. His job will be to work with the Board and the interim Executive Director, Dave Owens, to keep our operations running smoothly.

The Board will also be forming a committee to begin a search for a new President.

As always, please be in prayer for the men and women who lead this Network forward. Pray for the Harvey family, for Mike Cosper, Dave Owens, the Board and staff.
